Privacy Policy
We respect your personal information. This explains, in plain English, what we collect across this website and our products, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are
This privacy policy covers ryklief.org and our products — Port Watch, FrameTheDay, PingMe, WashHub and Work Lekker — which are all operated by one company.
The company behind these services is Ryklief-org (Pty) Ltd (registration 2026/476403/07), registered in South Africa. Our registered address is available on request — email support@ryklief.org.
The Information Officer for POPIA purposes is the CEO of the company. To ask anything about your data, email privacy@ryklief.org.
What this website collects
ryklief.org is a mostly static website. It has no login, no contact form, no analytics and no advertising trackers. The only way you can send us information directly from this site is via an email link, which opens your own email app — nothing is submitted to or stored by the website itself.
Our web host (Vercel) records standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) needed to serve and secure the site. These are kept only as long as needed for security and operations.
What our products collect
Our products collect the personal information each one needs to work. Broadly:
- Account & order data — your email, name and the details you enter when you sign up to or buy a product.
- Event photos — for FrameTheDay, the photographs guests choose to share (personal information when they show recognisable people).
- Business data you enter — for Port Watch, WashHub and PingMe, the operational data you put in to get the job done.
Each product explains its own data in more detail where it matters. The common rule: we only use your information to run the service you asked for, to keep it secure, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to train models.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the processors needed to run our products, and when the law requires it. The main ones are:
- Supabase, Inc. — hosts the databases and file storage our products use.
- PayFast (Pty) Ltd — processes payments for our paid products. They handle your card details; we never see or store them.
- Vercel, Inc. hosts this website.
Each processor is engaged only to provide the service, under terms that protect your information. We do not otherwise share your data.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it; product-specific data (like an event album) is kept for the window the product states and then permanently deleted. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
Keeping it safe
Access to personal data is restricted at the database level so a user can only see or manage what is theirs, and sensitive actions are handled server-side. Transfers are encrypted in transit. No online service is perfectly secure, but we design for the sensitivity of the information we hold.
Your rights — and how to use them
Under POPIA (and the similar right of access under the Promotion of Access to Information Act where it applies), you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to object to how we use it.
To exercise any of these, email us with your name and what you would like to do. We will respond within a reasonable time, and no later than the period POPIA requires.
Email a data request →Children
Our products are aimed at businesses and adults. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and the date above. The current version always lives at ryklief.org/privacy. It sits alongside our Terms of Service and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
